A car crashed into a building, and the driver reportedly was stretchered to a hospital
San Francisco police said Monday night that officers shot and killed the driver of a car that crashed into the Chinese consulate building that afternoon.
Police said the investigation is open and ongoing, and they've not yet identified the driver or a motive. The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management first directed the public to avoid the area of Laguna Street and Geary Boulevard due to police activity at 3:22 p.m. Emergency officials said that first responders were on the scene, and video later posted on social media showed a large emergency presence outside the consulate.
