SUBANG JAYA: Bukit Aman will go on total enforcement during the latest edition of Ops Selamat, focusing on the"mat rempit" menace, says Datuk Mazlan Mansor.
The JSPT, according to Mazlan, will focus on six main offences during the operation period, which are speeding, driving in the emergency lane, overtaking on the double line, cutting queue, running the red light and using mobile phones while driving."A maximum RM300 fine will be imposed on the offenders," Mazlan said.
Touching on traffic offenders, Mazlan said the attitude of certain segments of society is deplorable. On JSPT's 50% discount offer on traffic summonses via e-payment, Mazlan said the department hoped to clear a large number of backlog summonses.
