SHAH ALAM: Police have seized over RM13mil worth of syabu after arresting four men at a shopping mall parking lot at Putrajaya.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said police conducted the raid at around 1.40pm on Monday .
"We arrested four men aged between 22 and 37 and seized 350 packets of Refined Chinese Tea containing over 355.75kg of methamphetamine, which was in a parked Toyota Vellfire there. "Following the raid and seizure, we then conducted a follow-up raid at a condominium at Putrajaya and seized 23 plastic packets containing 23.09kg of methamphetamine," he told reporters at the Selangor Police Headquarters on Thursday ."We estimate that the 378.84kg of drugs seized was worth over RM13.26mil and was meant to be sold within the Klang Valley region.
"Our investigations also revealed that the drugs originated from a neighbouring country," he said, adding three of the suspects had prior records for drug trafficking and other drug related offences, as well as causing hurt in a robbery."One of the four arrested was a diploma student at a private institute.
"We believe the syndicate has been active for at least six months," he said, adding that police also seized a Honda CRV, a Nissan Navara, a bank account containing RM10,004, and a Tissot watch worth RM500.Article type: free
