KUALA LUMPUR: The police have seized assets related to 1MDB totalling at least RM93.2 million, which were acquired under the name of Jasmine Loo. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said these assets were declared by the former associate of fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, to the police and recorded in her statutory declaration.
The assets included watches, handbags, real estate properties, two Picasso paintings, and monies in bank accounts. According to Ayob, the value of the assets were calculated based on what they were worth in 2013. He said the assets were seized in Singapore, Switzerland, New York, London and Malaysia.
