SUBANG JAYA: An illegal online gambling centre was raided after it was exposed on Facebook.
In a statement Wednesday , Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abd Khalid Othman said the raid was conducted on Tuesday night following a video on the centre by a Facebook user “Macdonard Highson”.
"A raid on the location was conducted and eight computers, believed to have been used for online gambling purposes, were seized," he said. ACP Khalid Othman said that the district police had conducted 191 raids between January 2021 and May 2022, with 458 suspects arrested. A total of 924 machines used for online gambling were also seized.
