JOHOR BARU: A group of friends’ late-night outing at an entertainment outlet here was shut down by the police for violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the National Recovery Plan.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said an Op Noda/Op Cahaya raid was carried out at the premises in Taman Molek here at around 12.30am on Thursday ."The eight men and seven women, including the male outlet manager, were inspected where we found that the outlet did not have an entertainment licence.

The case was investigated under Rule 6 of the Johor Entertainment and Places of Entertainment Enactment, which carries a maximum fine of RM10,000. Supt Mohd Sohaimi added that police seized some entertainment equipment from the premises such as a mixing console, speakers, microphone sets and sales receipts.
