SHAH ALAM: Police are looking for the parents of a girl who was found wandering alone along a busy road at Puncak Alam recently.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said police were alerted about the case, following a video which went viral on Wednesday .
The video was taken by a lorry driver, who saw the girl wearing a blue T-shirt walking by herself on the road.He then asked her who was at home. She responded that her father was sleeping.He also asked several onlookers if they knew where she came from.The man questioned why the workers did not stop her from walking out.
The girl's father then came out. The man told him that the girl had walked out to the main road and was almost hit by his lorry.SAC Fadzil said a police report was lodged and investigations papers opened under Section 33 of the Child Act 2001 for leaving a child unattended without proper monitoring. "We urge the girl's family to come forward to the Sungai Buloh police headquarters immediately and meet with Insp Samri Abd Hamid for further investigations," he said on Thursday .
