KLANG (Bernama): Police have identified a man wearing a pink bracelet believed to be under quarantine at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, after a video went viral on social media since Friday (Oct 9).

said the video was watched by his senior officer before lodging a police report at about 7.24pm Friday night.

"The video shows a health worker reprimanding a man wearing a pink bracelet believed to be still under quarantine, ” he said in a statement Saturday . Shamsul Amar added that they were currently waiting for the 30-year-old man’s Covid-19 screening test results from the Klang District Health Office before detaining him.

Bandar Bukit Tinggi in Klang is among 36 areas in the Klang sub-district that has been subjected to a conditional movement control order for 14 days starting Friday until Oct 23. - Bernama

It is hoped that the community in the area could give full cooperation to the authorities to fight the spread of Covid-19, Noor Azam added. Two days ago, Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the government”s move to impose conditional MCO in the red zone areas, namely Sandakan, Papar, Tuaran in Sabah and Klang in Selangor, starting on Oct 9, following spike in Covid-19 cases in the areas.
