JIANGXI: A man has been criminally detained on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl at a self-discipline training camp in Jiangxi province, police announced on Friday (Aug 16).

SHAH ALAM: Police here have recorded the statements of eight individuals in connection with the death of singer Muhammad Nidza Afham Mokhtar."We are investigating various angles, including to discover whether there is any criminal element as well as any personal problems and mental aspects. We will get to the bottom of it," he said when contacted on Saturday .

"We confirm that no belongings of Muhammad Nidza Afham have gone missing, as claimed on social media.His family has also made no police reports on any loss of belongings," he said when visiting the Kota Bridge, where the singer's body was found. Among those who accompanied Comm Hussein were South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong and his deputy Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah.The singer was last seen leaving a house in Jalan Kerongsang 4 in Bandar Puteri on Aug 13.

A post mortem showed that there were no physical injuries on his body and a lab report is still pending to determine the exact cause of death.
