PETALING JAYA: Five men, including a medical practitioner, were detained for driving while under the influence of alcohol following an operation in the district.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the five men, aged from 26 to 61, were picked up during an anti-drink driving operation held between 11pm on Friday and 3am on Saturday ."Among those detained was a medical practitioner," he said in a statement on Saturday.
The focus of the operation is to curb and prevent road users from driving or riding while intoxicated, he added."We checked 508 road users and 356 vehicles during the operation," ACP Nik Ezanee said."We will continue to conduct such operations to ensure the safety of all," he said.
