PADANG BESAR: A husband and wife who are allegedly drug traffickers and part of the"Wa Syndicate" have been arrested after police found drugs buried close to their house here.
“A local woman was detained on Aug 16 following intelligence gathered by district police headquarters Narcotics CID with the assistance of the Perlis NCID since July,” he told reporters here on Sunday . “She handed over a plastic container containing crystals believed to be syabu weighing 52.72g during an inspection at 12.15pm,” he said.
“The police nabbed two suspects, a 35-year-old Thai who was the mastermind, and a 27-year-old local man.
