Cops arrest two, seize RM2mil worth of ciggies in Kota Tinggi smuggling bust

KOTA TINGGI: Close to RM2mil worth of smuggled cigarettes were found and seized by the police following checks on a lorry here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said that two men, who were in their 20s and 40s were also arrested during the incident at about 1.30am on Saturday .

"Following checks on the vehicle, we found a total of 223 large boxes of cigarettes where its customs duties and taxes were believed to have not been paid," he said in a statement here on Saturday .
