It's understood there is a syndicate in the city targetting Portuguese businessmen, with at least five kidnapping incidents recorded by police.
JOHANNESBURG - Nine suspects, including a police officer, have been arrested for the alleged kidnapping of businessmen in Johannesburg.
Police said that the suspects were arrested on Tuesday after a Portuguese man who was kidnapped outside his business in Bramley was found in Kempton Park."While the organisation is disappointed by the arrest of one of its own, it is pleasing to note that the organisation is ridding itself of corrupt elements. No member of the SAPS is above the law, irrespective of their rank. Police officers who are found on the wrong side of the law are dealt with accordingly.
