Converse has debuted transgender-themed sneakers to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pride.
The footwear brand's latest Custom Chuck Taylor All Star Pride High Top comes in the shape of classic high-top Converse sneakers but with special-edition Pride patches, a customizable body style and rainbow-colored soles."March like you mean it in colorful sneakers," the brand notes on their website. The statement continued,"However you identify, whoever you love -- tell your story."My 11 year-old-son is ECSTATIC! 🏳️🌈 pic.twitter.
Lots of people on social media were very excited to hear about the new transgender-themed sneakers. Children's author Rachel Q. Lyons wrote on Twitter,"Thank You @Converse for making #trans PRIDE shoe this year! My 11-year-old shoe son is ecstatic."
