A former member of Victoria's Upper House has announced she is putting her hand up to become the Liberal Party's candidate for the seat of Aston being vacated by Alan Tudge.
Ms Burnett-Wake revealed on Monday she was nominating to be the party's candidate in the seat being vacated by former minister Alan Tudge.
She entered the Victorian Upper House in December 2021 having replaced Edward O'Donohue, who resigned after 15 years in parliament. "I look forward to being considered by the Liberal party for the honour of being the candidate and for the opportunity to represent the Aston community," Ms Burnett-Wake said.
The Liberals suffered a two-party preferred swing against it of 7.3 per cent at last May's Federal Election, with Mr Tudge's primary vote falling by 11.6 per cent. "That's the difficulty, that's the reality of what they're experiencing at the moment. So it'll be a hard fought contest."
