Following the tragic incident in Penang where a 21-year-old woman had lost her life after a container overturned at a traffic light and crushed her car, it
appears that she managed to make a phone call before passing away.
Her 42-year-old mother, Lim, said that her daughter only managed to say one sentence before shouting and then going silent. The sentence was, “Mummy, it hurts so much”. The phone call then got disconnected, leading Lim to attempt to call her daughter back but to no avail; no one picked up. Knowing her daughter’s route to work, Lim continued to call her phone while taking the route to search for her daughter.
It was at this point where Lim, as well as her other children, had burst into tears as she recounted her daughter’s last moments.Lim went on to share that she rushed to the scene upon finding out her daughter’s location, but when she arrived, her daughter was already gone. It was then revealed to her, by the man who answered her call to her daughter’s phone, that the victim had died after her initial call to her mother.
