KOTA KINABALU: A construction worker who fell about 15m from a building along a Mount Kinabalu trail has been safely stretchered down by mountain rescuers.
The 26-year-old worker is believed to have suffered neck and spinal injuries when he fell while doing work on the building at KM 4 of the mountain trail.
According to a Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department spokesman, they received a distress call at 2.11pm on Sunday . The mountain search and rescue team led by Alex Clarence with mountain guides provided first aid to the victim at the site.The victim was brought down to Timpohon Gate base on a Robinson Stretcher and subsequently rushed to the hospital for further treatment, the spokesman said.
