Construction cost higher in July 2021, says Dept of Statistics

THE Building Material Cost Index without steel bars for almost all regions in Peninsular Malaysia recorded an increase of between 0.6 and 1.5% for almost all building categories in July 2021 compared to the previous month, said the Department of Statistics, Malaysia today. Chief statistician Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said, however, the BCI in region C and region D registered a decrease of between 0.1 and 0.7% for almost all categories of building.
