Constituents of the Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency of Ondo State on Monday began the move to recall the lawmaker representing them at the National Assembly, Abiola Makinde.
The constituents hinged the proposed move on the alleged abdication of legislative duties on the part of Makinde, whom they stressed had not been sighted within the constituency or at the National Assembly. Speaking under the auspices of the Ekimogun Roundtable, they maintained that the lawmaker relocated abroad for unknown reasons. According to the acting secretary of the group, Ms.
'In a massive show of solidarity with what they described as an audacious leadership and legislative accountability project embarked upon by the Ekimogun Roundtable aimed at strengthening the country’s struggling representative democracy.
