Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from mixed martial arts

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor has apparently announced his retirement from mixed martial arts.Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
McGregor has been known to use social media to market himself as well as to needle potential opponents and to take shots at the UFC during times when he's been at odds with the organization. McGregor is currently serving a suspension for his part in a brawl that ensued after he lost to current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor was expected to be eligible to return to the Octagon in July, thus the discussion had with Fallon earlier on Monday night.after he reportedly took a fan's phone, smashed it and withheld it in the early morning hours in Florida.
McGregor has retired via Twitter before. Back in 2016, he appeared to do the same thing, but clearly, he returned to the Octagon. If McGregor is serious about retiring from MMA, it wouldn't mean he could not compete in some other combat sport.
