's Emmy win for Outstanding Variety Special ... thing is, Conan had nothing to do with it!
The famous stage crasher was beside himself with joy -- bear hugging Colbert. As Colbert gave his acceptance speech, Conan was effusive, prompting Colbert to quip,"And all of these people behind me, most of these people behind me ... most of the people behind me really deserve this Emmy right now." Well, maybe this was all an act, because Colbert said backstage,"I said 'why don't you come on stage with us if we win?' We love Conan. We're honored to be superfans of Conan O'Brien."
