Commuter station for Bukit Aman, please, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is hoping its logistical wish list will be met, including a commuter station near the federal police headquarters, additional parking complex and a multipurpose hall.

The Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said they had identified a location for the commuter station near the entrance to Bukit Aman's Menara 2."The station will benefit more than 3,000 Bukit Aman personnel.

He added that the need for a new parking complex was also urgent as parking had always been a problem."A new parking complex will certain solve such problems," he said. Compared to the Armed Forces which had various facilities, including its own military hospital, the police force felt it was being"anak-tirikan" , he said."Our marine boats can only reach up to a speed of 10 nautical miles," Hamid said, adding that he would meet Loke again on the commuter station matter.

"He is the embodiment of integrity, sincerity. His service to the police force and the people is priceless. We salute you," he said.
