The Commission on Elections said those positive for the coronavirus disease may file their certificates of candidacy or Certificates of Nomination and Acceptance via their duly authorized representative.
“If the aspirant, Chairperson/ President/Secretary General of the Party-List Group, was tested positive for COVID19 or identified as a close contact with any person who was tested positive for COVID19 and on quarantine or isolation, resides in an area under a granular lockdown, their respective representatives may file the COC/CONA and the CON-CAN,” it further read.
The poll body said all the authorized representatives shall then be required to submit a Sworn Authority to File COC or CONA. It added that the authorized representative should not be identified as a close contact with any person who has tested positive for COVID19, and on quarantine or isolation. The authorized representative, the poll body said, must also not come from an area under a granular lockdown.
