The proposal to expand from biweekly to weekly recycling coverage is part of the Climate Action Plan announced by Mayor Andrew J. Ginther last year.

The City of Columbus will expand to weekly residential recycling collection next summer as part of the proposed 2023 city budget.

Columbus Refuse Collection also is adding services and staff to support sustainability and Ginther’s “Clean Neighborhoods” initiative against illegal dumping and littering.
