Need weekend plans? There's a lot going on around Denver

The lack of Asian faces in cinema has finally become a mainstream conversation, but rarely a sustained one. Instead of talking about it,, billed as the only Colorado event that spotlights Asian and Asian-American filmmakers.also joined in, which makes this year’s seventh annual fest another boon for cinephiles. The in-person screenings, which started March 3 and run through Sunday, March 6, follow last year’s all-virtual program with a dozen or so diverse titles and showcases.

The event is book-ended by the narrative feature “Listen Before You Sing” and the doc “Free Chol Soo Lee,”, a 2022 Sundance selection about the U.S.-led movement to free a Korean immigrant after a wrongful conviction.
