Georgia hangs on to beat Ohio State, will face TCU in title game
Ohio State pushed its second-half lead over Georgia to 38-24 on a 25-yard field goal by Noah Ruggles. That ended a seven-play, 59-yard drive.
Following a penalty to start its drive, Ohio State continued its aggressive tendencies by throwing deep on first-and-20, and Marvin Harrison Jr. drew a pass-interference penalty against Georgia defensive back Kelee Ringo. A few minutes later, on a third-and-goal play, Stroud moved backward as Georgia pass-rushers approached before floating a ball to the back of the end zone.
