NDIS and Government Services Minister Bill Shorten says the Coalition have a “head in the sand attitude” toward climate policies put forward in the last decade.
“The ironic thing about the coalition dropping hints it’s going to oppose what we’re doing is, they are the ones who drafted what they call a safeguards mechanism to provide some swim lanes for heavy emitters to be able to invest in change,” Mr Shorten told Sky News Australia.
“What business needs in order to drive down the overall trajectory of emissions in this country is certainty. “The Opposition showing that it’s still grumpy about the last election and not really focused on the future is it’s playing games, in the meantime, business which employs thousands of blue-collar workers needs policy certainty.
