CNN’s Don Lemon has suggested that Democrats are embarking on an “apology tour,” warning that too many apologies will open the door for President Donald Trump to win re-election in 2020.
Biden responded to the allegations this weekend, explaining “not once—never—did I believe I acted inappropriately. If it is suggested I did so I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention.” However, he stressed that the American public does not expect to elect a perfect candidate. “The irony here is that when the Democrats do ultimately choose a standard-bearer, she or he will face the one man that we know never really apologizes, even when he is caught on tape,” Lemon added, referring to President Donald Trump.
