Drawing from Christifideles Laici on the Call to Holiness, the Call to Community, the Call to Mission and Ministry and the Call to Christian Maturity, Martin stressed on the important role of the laity in answering the call to Christian maturity. He further elaborated on the true meaning of the Call from Luke Ch 9 and also from Mark. Dotted with lived examples of how to live this call, Martin emphasised the need for Church leadership to be modelled after Jesus, the epitome of Servant Leadership.
The strategic planning session began soon after, with Matthew and Serina reporting that the Archdiocese has 81 presenting couples, from all language groups, with the English group having the majority. Matthew also gave a brief status of our Finance, the Couple paks, Certificates, Our Father’s Call, the Registration Form and the Marriage Guide Book, the stock of which can last for another two years or thereabout.
