Cleveland was ranked the worst city in the U.S. to raise a family in, according to new survey data from WalletHub. WASHINGTON, D.C. – If you live in Cleveland, you reside in the worst city in the United States to raise a family in, according to a new survey.
Cleveland ranked last out of 182 U.S. cities that were surveyed for the best cities to raise a family in with a total score of 34.65, according to a data analysis from WalletHub. The top U.S. city to raise a family in – Fremont, California – had a total score of 73.71. The 182 cities analyzed were comprised of the 150 most populated cities in the U.S. – which Cleveland is one of – as well as at least two of the most populated cities in each state. WalletHub’s rankings apply to only the city proper and excludes cities in the surrounding metro area, according to the company.The cities were measured across five categories: family fun, health and safety, education and child care, affordability and socio-economics.
