For more than 50 years in Clarendon Hills, Fire Prevention Week has meant an annual open house during which residents are invited to visit the village’s fire station, which has been located for several years at 316 Park Ave. About 800 residents showed up Saturday for a variety of activities related to fire prevention. Firefighters gave out information about fire prevention, demonstrated auto extrication, using a junk car, removing the roof and doors using hydraulic rescue equipment.
