(Reuters) - Microsoft will hold a summit on Tuesday to discuss steps to improve cybersecurity systems, after a faulty software update from CrowdStrike caused a global IT outage in July.

PUTRAJAYA: The key performance indicators for civil servants will be linked to a new requirement involving failure to report corruption, says the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

He said to strengthen the integrity and accountability of civil servants, KPIs through the MyPerformance system need to be improved, as well as the Demerit Performance Evaluation System for heads of departments must be continued, with emphasis on the new element that deals with failure to report corruption.

He added that the majority of local authorities have failed to implement the instructions of the Human Resource Services Circular for the establishment of an integrity unit, structure and staffing, as well as reporting and training.“Therefore, compliance with this directive will be the primary concern of this CPI special task force,” he said during the 2024 KSN Leadership Aspiration ceremony at De' Seri Endon Hall, Puspanitapuri here on Tuesday .
