CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – Police here are on alert for super typhoon “Goring.”
It has beefed up disaster response after storm signal No. 3 was hoisted on Sunday afternoon, August 27.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, accounting of personnel who will serve as reactionary standby support force and search, rescue, and retrieval personnel is ongoing. Authorities are holding “Oplan: Tambuli” to disseminate reminders about the howler to low-lying barangays. A round-the-clock monitoring of overflow bridges to avoid any injuries and casualties and deployment of personnel to 18 low-lying barangays is under way.
