CITY HALL is keeping tabs on the public lighting near some commercial centres in Sembulan and Kolombong to minimise the traffic hazards posed to drivers travelling to and from these properties.
This action was prompted by feedback that the access roads to these buildings were insufficiently illuminated after dark. The Penampang and Inanam vehicle-owners, who pointed this out, felt that both stretches were potentially dangerous to motorists with poor night-vision, especially the elderly. The contractor’s staff in the midst of putting up a new cable for these lights in Kolombong.
