Largest city bond program in San Antonio history performs well among early voters, but housing bond sees least support

Turnout is historically low for bond elections. With just over half of the county’s vote centers reporting results, the overall turnout rate was aboutAll of Bexar County recorded 47,866 early votes in the May 7 election, which also included two state constitutional amendments and school district and suburban races. Only voters who reside within the city of San Antonio were eligible to vote on the city bond. Some local school districts also held their own bond elections.

Parks upgrades, Proposition C, saw 64.6 percent approval. It would fund 82 parks and recreation projects with $271.9 million. Proposition E on the ballot received 65.38 percent approval. It budgets $78.3 million for six projects.
