CIMB today has announced that its CIMB Clicks mobile app will be discontinued starting 11 June 2024. It will be fully replaced by the bank's second yet more

CIMB today has announced that its CIMB Clicks mobile app will be discontinued starting 11 June 2024. It will be fully replaced by the bank's second yet more advanced app, CIMB Octo, moving forward.

Prior to this, CIMB insisted that its Octo is an additional service to CIMB Clicks, and users were advised to have both apps on their devices. However, given the fact that the latter has been edging closer to obsoletion in terms features and security, its imminent replacement by the former comes as no surprise.

CIMB notes that CIMB Clicks is still usable for the time being, but will no longer be available to download for any platform once the change has been implemented. The bank is encouraging customers to start shifting over to CIMB Octo beforehand in order to familiarise and take advantage of its offerings.

As before, the newer app is touted by the bank to offer users with an easier way to manage their finances quickly and securely, providing a smart and personalised banking experience. CIMB Octo is available via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, as well as the Huawei App Gallery.
