Philippine vice president Sara Duterte leaves after holding a press conference at a hospital in Quezon City on Nov. 26. have joined the impeachment move against Vice-President Sara Duterte over a death threat she made against the president and her alleged role in extra-judicial killings, and corruption.
“Today, I formally endorse the first-ever impeachment motion filed by our citizens,” said lawmaker Perci Cendaña from the Akbayan party that supports the resolution in a statement on Dec. 2. “This is not a political process; it is a collective stand to defend the truth, restore dignity and integrity in public service,” said human rights lawyer Chel Diokno.The effort is to “hold Sara Duterte accountable,” added Cendaña.
“The bloody war on drugs claimed tens of thousands of lives, leaving behind a trail of grieving families,” Cendaña said.
