Treasurer Jim Chalmers says congratulations to the Prime Minister of New Zealand Chris Hipkins and remarks on the “incredibly strong” relationship both countries share.
“Chris Hipkins is a person of remarkable experience and depth and intellect, he will be no doubt a very worthy successor to Jacinda Ardern,” Mr Chalmers said during a media conference on Wednesday. “And somebody we look forward to working with – on issues of mutual interest to our mutual benefit of the people on both sides of the Tasman.”
