Kaizer Chiefs could now be facing competition as they eye an Orlando Pirates star who might be available for free at the end of the season.
Chiefs and Pirates are not known to make direct deals, with players only moving on a free between the two.. The midfielder has been on loan to Chippa United from Pirates, with the Gqeberha-based club now keen to sign him permanently.Chippa are willing to fight off interest from Chiefs to get Mosele from Pirates on a free.“There have been talks between the clubs . The player is enjoying gametime at Chippa and is keen to stay. The teams will engage again at the end of the season.
Should Mosele leave Pirates on a free transfer, however, there will be no need for Chippa to speak to them. The player would have the freedom to move to a club of his choice. This without the Bucs getting a transfer fee for his services. This would be a dream scenario for Chiefs, who know that signing the player directly from their arch-rivals would not be possible.
In early February, this publication reported that Chiefs are sniffing around the situation. Pirates, however, are believed to have an option for another year on Mosele’s contract, further complicating things. Mosele was loaned out by Pirates at the start of the current season, and has been a stalwart for Chippa. During his stint in the Eastern Cape, the midfielder has regained his spot in theMakhehlene Makhaula, however, he might think twice about a return.
