NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Chipotle Mexican Grill announced Tuesday it’s launching a new spicy chicken dish, offering chicken al pastor, a new protein option it says will satisfy customers with a sophisticated flavor profile and elevated taste.
To celebrate the launch, Chipotle will offer free delivery on chicken al pastor orders placed through the Chipotle app and“Guests are looking to restaurants for unique menu items they cannot make at home, and al pastor has been gaining mass appeal in recent years,” Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer,
With its new chicken al pastor chicken, Chipotle sought to tap into these recent consumer trends “to bring fans a new, craveable menu innovation to spice up their go-to order,” the company said.
