KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd said it will engage with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to understand the rationale for its selection of the mobile network operator to implement the nation's second 5G network.

BEIJING : China 's foreign ministry has now urged Vietnam to strengthen"education and management" of its fishermen, and not engage in"illegal activities" in waters within"Chinese jurisdiction".

Vietnam urged China to"immediately release the fishermen and fishing vessels that were illegally detained", the spokesperson told a regular press conference, without saying how many had been held or when. Vietnam has a long-standing territorial dispute in the South China Sea with China, which claims the majority of the area as its territory - an assertion that overlaps with separate claims by Brunei, Malaysia, Taiwan and the Philippines.
