Chinese leader Xi Jinping has said the top priority is to prevent the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from expanding.Xi made these remarks during his meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who was in Beijing for the Third Belt and Road Forum. His remarks are his first public mention since the beginning of the conflict in the Middle East.
In response to Xi's remarks, the Egyptian leader Madbouly said that Egypt and Arab countries appreciate China's 'consistent and just stance' on the Palestinian issue and 'look forward to China playing a greater role in resolving the current crisis.
