Trade ties and the Ukraine war dominated the agenda in talks between the leaders of Germany and China. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang in Beijing.
Mr Xi hailed the cooperation between their two countries, describing it as a guarantee for their stability and the future. Mr Scholz added that he does not want Germany to decouple from China . He also pressed on the issue of the Ukraine war, asking Mr Xi to try to influence Russia to stop the war. Olivia Siong reports.
