CHANGCHUN: Northeast China's Jilin Province reported two new confirmed Covid-19 cases following another three earlier, local health authorities said Monday (May 18). The district's risk associated with the virus has been upgraded from the medium-level to the high-level after reports of the new cases.

The district's risk associated with the virus has been upgraded from the medium-level to the high-level after reports of the new cases. The city of Jilin has tried to cover more people in its nucleic acid testing, with more than 40,000 locals tested over the past three days, parts of the city which have tightened social distancing restrictions in response to a local cluster of still-unknown origin.

The industrial city of Shenyang in neighboring Liaoning province is requiring visitors from Shulan county to undergo a 21-day quarantine on arrival, according to state broadcaster CCTV.
