China revises downwards virus death toll to 1,380

CHINA’S death toll from a new coronavirus was today revised downwards to 1,380 after officials said some fatalities were counted more than once. The National Health Commission removed 108 deaths after discovering “duplicate statistics” in the hard-hit central Hubei province, according to its daily update, without providing more details.
