Curtin University Political Analyst Joe Siracusa says China has “a lot of their conscience” after new US intelligence suggested an accidental lab leak was most likely the cause of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The US Energy Department made this new judgement with “low confidence” as part of an updated report provided to White House, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“The thing is what can you do with a leak – can you send people the bill?” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia. “I have a very high confidence it came from that lab and the only thing is what can you do about it.”
