The NASCAR star's in-laws and a young nephew were found dead in what police say was an apparent murder-suicide last month.

Police in Muskogee, Okla., confirmed Tuesday, June 27, 2023, that they are investigating the deaths of three relatives of seven-time NASCAR champion Johnson as an apparent murder-suicide. A representative for Johnson confirmed the three are the parents and nephew of Johnson's wife, Chandra Janway.
The star’s in-laws, Jack and Terry Janway, and 11-year-old nephew, Dalton Janway, were all found dead at their residence following a 911 call. No motive has been reported, but police have speculated that the incident was a murder-suicide with Terry, the mother of Johnson’s wife Chandra, a suspect.
