A young boy and teenage girl are dead after a BMW SUV ploughed into the beer garden of a pub and struck patrons on Sunday night.
A young boy and teenage girl are among the five fatalities in Daylesford after a car crashed into a pub’s beer garden on Sunday night.outside the Royal Daylesford Hotel on Vincent Street about 6.05pm, with members of the public rushing to help the wounded.
A boy was flown to hospital in a critical condition, while another boy and two adults were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.On Monday morning, two cleaners hosed down the road outside the pub. They also described horrific scenes outside the hotel, which was crowded with patrons on the weekend.
Ballarat MP Catherine King expressed her condolences to the victims’ loved ones, saying: “Five people have lost their lives ... five families have had their lives changed forever … It will really have shocked a lot of people, and I think we’d really only just be coming to terms to what happened today.”
