Two children have been hospitalised, one in a critical condition, after they were hit by a car while playing in a laneway in Melbourne’s west.
At about 5.20pm on Tuesday a Toyota Prado struck a three-year-old and an eight-year-old boy in Liberator Lane in Braybrook.
The children were struck moments after the Prado collided with two parked cars between the laneway and Wirraway Ave, subsequently striking the children before continuing on to hit another parked car, pinning the eight-year-old between the two vehicles.He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.The three-year-old was hospitalised with minor injuries and the driver, a 48-year-old Braybrook man, was arrested at the scene.
