They were either canceled for 2020 and 2021, reimagined as virtual events, or significantly scaled down to reduce crowds and limit the spread of COVID-19. But this year, the city says the events are returning almost completely back to the way they were before.’s spring and summertime programming is cherished by our residents and bolsters our tourism, hospitality and creative industries,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a statement.
